About the role
The Cloud Solutions Architect is our primary delivery role. You'll work directly with SMB clients — typically 25 to 300 employees — to assess their existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments, design the target-state architecture, execute the implementation, and hand off a fully documented environment.
This is not a help desk role. Every engagement involves real architectural decisions, security considerations, and documentation that the client's team will rely on long after the project ends. You'll own the outcome from assessment through handoff.
Most engagements run four to eight weeks. You'll typically carry two to three active projects at a time. Work is remote, client communication is primarily via video call and email, and implementation work is done in the client's tenant environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenant assessments and produce written findings reports
- Design tenant architecture: identity model, group structure, admin roles, licensing, and collaboration configuration
- Implement security baselines: MFA enforcement, conditional access, email authentication, device compliance
- Produce architecture documentation, admin runbooks, and onboarding/offboarding process guides
- Lead client calls and walkthroughs — explain technical decisions in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
- Support cloud migration projects alongside senior staff on larger engagements
What we're looking for
Required
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant administration and configuration
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory / Entra ID — groups, roles, conditional access, MFA
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation
- Comfortable leading client-facing calls and presenting technical recommendations
- Strong written communication — you'll produce deliverables clients read and rely on
Nice to have
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-102, SC-300 or equivalent)
- Experience with Google Workspace administration
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or another MDM platform
- Prior consulting or client services experience
